This system is known as the STIHL Quickstop® chain brake. The Quickstop® chain brake stops the chain’s rotation if it is activated by the operator’s hand or by inertia in the event of a significant kickback. - Ematic™ Lubrication System – The Ematic™ guide bar, when paired with the STIHL OILOMATIC® saw chain, offers adequate lubrication and reduces oil consumption compared to traditional methods. This system functions by utilizing two ramps strategically positioned within the guide bar rail. These ramps help contain the flow of oil and direct it to the sliding surfaces of the bar and chain links, as well as the rivets and driver holes. As a result, this can reduce bar oil consumption by up to 50%.
