Stihl 33 RS3 Chain

The STIHL 33 RS3 RAPID™ Super 3 is a reduced-vibration, low-kickback version of the STIHL RAPID™ Super chain. The RS3 is an aggressive, fast-cutting, full-chisel chain featuring a single-humped drive link, which helps to reduce kickback. Its cutter and tie strap design minimizes vibration levels while cutting. The razor-edged, square-cornered cutter shape ensures minimal chain friction, providing a smooth and clean cut in hard and frozen wood. This chain excels in cutting efficiency and plunge-cutting performance. Typically, the RS3 chain cuts faster than the RM chain but requires careful sharpening and maintenance.

Applications: The RS3 chain is best suited for medium—to high-powered chainsaws. It is ideal for felling, bucking, and limbing. It is a general-purpose chain for the high demands of full-time professionals.

STIHL recommends using low-kickback, green-labeled chains, and green-labeled reduced-kickback bars on all powerheads.
