Stihl 0000 893 4000 .031″ Depth Gauge Setting Tool

Use the Stihl 0000 893 4000 to set depth gauges to .031″ on Stihl .404″ pitch chains. Used for checking top plate angles and cutter length and filing correct depth gauge settings.

Sharpening the cutter and lowering the depth gauges is essential to get the most life out of your chains. Use this and a flat file to adjust their height.

Note: If cutting softwood in warm temperatures, you can increase the depth gauge from .026″ to .031″ on .325″ and 3/8″ pitch chains for more aggressive performance.
